These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to your use of the What?Pet™ mobile app and this website. By using What?Pet, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use What?Pet.

About What?Pet

What?Pet helps you explore pet compatibility, compare options, and get practical lifestyle guidance. It provides general pet information and AI-assisted guidance. It does not replace advice from a veterinarian, behaviourist, or other qualified professional, and it is not a guarantee of the perfect match.

Eligibility and age

What?Pet is not directed to children under 13, or under a higher minimum age if your region requires one. You should also follow any Apple App Store or Google Play terms that apply to you. If you use What?Pet for someone else, you confirm you have permission to do so.

Accounts

You can use What?Pet as a guest or by signing in with Google or Apple. You are responsible for your device access and activity under your account. If you no longer want an account, delete it in the app under My Account → Delete account. More detail is in our Privacy Policy.

Subscriptions and billing

• What?Pet may offer premium features through subscriptions or other in-app purchases.
• Payments, renewals, refunds, cancellations, and related tax handling are processed by Apple or Google under their store terms. What?Pet does not process your card details directly.
• We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status and entitlements in the app.
• Prices and billing periods are shown in the app before you purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel in your Apple or Google account settings before the renewal date.
• To request a refund, use Apple’s or Google’s refund process for the store where you bought the subscription.

Acceptable use

Please do not:

• Use What?Pet for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes
• Try to break, overload, scrape, or disrupt the service or its security
• Misuse AI-assisted chat to create harmful, illegal, or deceptive content
• Try to bypass subscription or usage limits
• Interfere with other users’ use of the app

Informational guidance and AI assistance

What?Pet content, compatibility scores, comparisons, and AI-assisted chat are for general information and practical lifestyle guidance. They can help you think through care, routine, and fit in plain language, but they may be incomplete or inaccurate. Every pet is unique. Use What?Pet as one thoughtful step in your decision, not as a substitute for professional advice or a guarantee of outcomes.

You remain responsible for your own decisions about acquiring or caring for a pet, including health, safety, allergies, housing rules, costs, and whether a pet suits your home and household.

Intellectual property

What?Pet, including its branding, design, software, and content, is owned by us or our licensors. You may use the app and website for personal, non-commercial purposes under these Terms. Please do not copy or redistribute What?Pet content outside normal personal use unless the law allows it or we give written permission.

Privacy

How we handle personal information is explained in the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers

What?Pet is provided as available. We do not promise that any match, score, recommendation, or AI-assisted response will be right for your situation, or that the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

What?Pet and its operators are not responsible for pet-related decisions you make after using the app, or for losses that result from those decisions.

If something goes wrong with the paid service, our responsibility is limited to the amount you paid for What?Pet premium access through Apple or Google in the 12 months before the issue. Local consumer protections may still apply.

Termination

We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or if we need to protect the service or other users. You may stop using What?Pet at any time and may delete your account in the app.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. Continued use after an update means the updated Terms apply.
